A few of us girls went to the outlet malls down in St. Augustine on Saturday. Such a fun group of ladies! It's nice to have an instant group of friends here with all of our husbands in school together. We have dinner every Wednesday, crafts most Friday mornings, and outings to the zoo, outlet mall, or whatever fun things we can think of regularly.

I finally finished my planter! I feel like the Little Red Hen: I bought the wood, I built the box, I stained the box, I found a liner, I made it fit, I filled it with dirt, I bought the plants, and I planted my garden! I planted (from left to right) strawberries, cilantro, basil, oregano, chives, tomatoes and spinach. I can go out to my garden now in the evening and get some ingredients for dinner, and I couldn't be prouder.

Garrit's birthday is today, and I've been preparing for weeks. He is a difficult man to buy for, because he says he doesn't want anything. I found him a few things he needed/wanted, but my favorite part of his gift was the cards. I hung cards numbered one to 25 with mini clothespins to a line strung around our dining area. Written inside were 25 different reasons I love him. The hardest part was stopping at 25! There were so many more things I wanted to write, but we have forever to keep adding cards. Happy Birthday Garrit! I love you!

this is what happens while garrit's gone all day

 I had plenty to do today, and I didn't really do much of it. Cupcakes seemed like so much more fun. I made these and more, and gave them away to friends. I figure if I fatten up everyone around me, I look skinnier!
